Home Depot has some Anvil tools on clearance at my local Evans, GA store. Some of these prices aren't showing online even with my store set to the same one I bought the stuff at this morning.

$3.50 6 piece combination wrench sets (metric or sae) [homedepot.com]
$3.50 2 piece locking pliers [homedepot.com]
Also, Husky utility knife set for $3.50 [homedepot.com]

They also had a screwdriver set, and a pair of hammers at the clearance price.

Same prices in Apple Valley, MN. Also some clearance Coast brand headlamps for $4.50 and pen style flashlights for $11 down from $33.

I bought 2 of the packs of utility knives. I feel like that was the best deal of them all. I did get a tool bag trio, as shown on receipt, for 23.90, which was also a good deal. The Husky tool bags are pretty sturdy.

Confirmed at my store in NJ zip code 07040

Anvil display still had the sticker price at $7.88 but you need to bring items to the register to get the prices Op found.

Bought the Combo MM wrenches, the 4 piece plier set (UPC 820909919445) and 2 piece adjustable wrenches (UPC 820909916086). Plenty of the Combo SAE wrenches left, fewer of the other items.

Locking pliers not on sale at my store.
