I won't buy it because it looks awful. No one wants an air purifier to stand out in a room but somehow they did it with this design.

Can someone with Consumer Reports subscription provide the score for this Coway AP-1512HH? Wire Cutter says it's great but a Redditor says it scores low on CR.

I don't have access to CR, but this is almost always identified as a high quality air purifier. See here:

Two possible flaws: 1) It has to be on the highest setting to be effective, and that's louder than some other models and draws a lot of energy. It also has an ionizer, but it can be turned off and, unlike the Winix c545 units, isn't on by default. We have two, and they are great.

Apart from the fact that the price has been lower, the only potential drawback I see to this unit is that there's a new (more expensive, slightly more powerful and quieter) model coming out and maybe OEM filters will become harder to find for the original model.
