good deal if you like their fries.

i do not.
Like they advertise that they cook in peanut oil (more expensive), but what's the point of that if you're not even gonna cook them to the point that they're crispy?

Pretty decent burgers, but pricey. If we do order fries, this small size usually feeds all four of us. The main problem is that they've closed two of the closest locations near me over the last year.

I love 5 guys but I was priced out of them when they went from 8-10 for a burger to 16-20 for one. Even with the free fries its... rough. Still, great food.

Their "little" burgers and fries are plenty big enough. Why get the larger versions? Its just way too much food.

Ohio. $ 10.39 large burger, $ 7.99 hot dog. The hot dogs are big, sliced in half. Very good hot dogs. The large burger is excellent. Both Uber Eats and Door Dash charge close to $ 15 for the burger. Big markup there.
Red Robin has better burgers, unlimited fries, and you are served by a waiter for tops $5 more, Five Guys appeal is gone when you can find a decent or better burger joint around the corner. Plus just giving out a free little fries is a joke.

Red Robin has terrible burgers. Very processed.

I by far prefer five guys, but they are pricey. It's worth it for me as I love all the extra toppings.

I absolutely love FG, but every time I eat there, I feel like I'm making a mortgage payment.
Lucky you! My mortgage payment is at least a hundred times that. I think you can afford to splurge! 😉

Wonder what their profit margins are. Burger with 2 patties sells for $10-12. 2 patties is $2 in a grocery store. Large fries is 1 potato, or 2 potatoes?

agreed. I rarely go because they are too expensive these days but when I do my regular order is a "little" burger + a "little" fry and I still feel like it's too many fries.

unlike most places they are actually still quite generous with the fries, so it's not as small as you might think.

i'm surprised i hadn't seen this mentioned yet, but at least here in nothern va they've been doing (i guess some testing at various price points of) a single patty burger or cheeseburger, little fry, little drink combo for $12.99-$14.99, plus you can just pay the difference to upgrade anything, including to a shake.

i would definitely not go at regular menu board prices with all the seemingly-recent increases, either though lol. but, amex gold credit, plus secret shopping means it's a once-a-month thing for us Smilie

I'd need to take out a second mortgage to pay for the burgers in my city

Edited to add: A cheeseburger is $12.19 plus tax in my city. So $13.20 with tax. By comparison Whataburger often runs a promotion where I can get a free whopper with purchase of medium fries and a medium drink which totals about $6.50. Will admit I'd get many more fries at Five Guys but I can only eat so many fries with the burger and what the heck do I do with cold leftover fries...
