Lavender is extremely easy to grow from cuttings. Pretty much every public buildings or church where I live have them because lavender repels rodents.

You cannot just put these out to grow. Needs stratification. If not, you'll get terrible to zero to grow.

I've used these. Horrible germination rate. I tried some on paper towels, some in seed trays, and some just sown directly in the ground. I think one out of the whole package even sprouted after a month.

Not surprising. They are hard to start, and seed packages sometimes have other seeds in them too.

Long ago I decided to start a garden. I still lived in an apartment so it was a potted garden. One seed packet I bought were jalapeno's. I put seeds in 3 pots from that packet. They all grew something! Easily the best year I've ever had growing from seeds, now I get weeds if I'm lucky. Back to the story. Two grew some jalapeno plants, which gave me 3 small peppers in total. One grew into what was called a jaltomato plant, which is neither a jalapeno or a tomato. Little round black berries. Edible and extremely mild in flavor. Gave me quite a few nearly tasteless berries. I could have made a small amount of jam if I had tried.
