Super Lube Multi-Purpose grease is pretty viscous, but can still be pumped through a filler syringe (the type you'd use to refill a printer cartridge).
It's non-conductive, water resistant, plastic safe, and food safe, so you will likely wish you had bought in bulk if you only get the small tube.
Once the internals are coated, nothing will get to them.
Alternatively, hitting them with a clear coat of outdoor Rust-Oleum (mask of the solar panel) would work.

That said I've had good luck with larger models. e.g. a four-pack of these costs about the same as the OP and emits a hundred times more light.
