I bought one of these at a goodwill for $40 looking new in box. It has been pretty great so far. It's not tall enough for a full gallon of milk vertically, but it holds a decent amount. It's perfect for use as a trip cooler keeping snacks and drinks chilled. Maybe good enough for weekend camping if you're replenishing it as items are used up or if you're going alone.
Had this for some years now - got it when they just came into the market. These real compressor refrigerators are COLD - unlike those useless Peltier "coolers". Ran it continuously from my EV V2L with little impact to my battery percentage. Biggest "headache" was where to store it when not in use... now, it holds a dozen cans of COLD beer (and 8 cans of coconut water) in my garage - problem solved! Comes with both a 12V car plug as well as a power brick to plug into 120V household outlet.
Keep in mind that these are rebranded under a bunch of names and sometimes you can find much better prices on AliExpress. Using a CB site and AliE coupons, I got a 21qt for something like $73.
These are pretty efficient, too, and can run for a while off of battery banks like from Jackery or others. It's recommended that you plug into one of those instead of directly to your vehicle to prevent overly taxing your 12V battery in the vehicle.
I have this one, but don't really love it. It is smaller size wise and fits well in a small to compact car. The insulation on this particular one is marginal as compared to some other units. It actually uses more electricity than my 43qt unit. You must give it air to move around the vents. In a hot car the ambient temperature was too much to keep stuff frozen. (It was 90+ and the car was higher than 120). The sides condensates heavily.
Other than that, this unit is really a matter of what you can fit in your car. Most of them use similar compressors and electronics, and power draw. The bigger units fit more and usually have more insulation.
Freezing is what takes up the most power.
Also if I could do it all over again now, I'd splurge to get a dual zone. The ability to pull out an ice pop in the sweltering summer is amazing.
