Decent deal, but you can get these for cheap or free from many electric companies.

If you want the rotating ring version (4th gen), this isn't it. Also, this version does NOT work with the temperature monitors, like the 4th gen.

But it is matter compatible which makes it one of the best Apple HomeKit thermostats.

My energy company(Sawnee) can give Max $25 for smart thermostat and that is also one time.

they took away the ability to turn off eco mode... your welcome... (just switched to ecobee after being frustrated with this for months)

The problem with nest is that they now have a history of discontinuing support for their thermostats and other devices. Nest stopped supporting their first two generation of thermostats. Ecobee and Honeywell have had a little bit better longevity there. But the one I just bought is a Honeywell T6 z-wave one that works with by home automation hub. I'll never buy smart home devices that require cloud connectivity and rely on third party servers again.

Also those deals haven't been available in since before Covid. Also they usually opt you into a program where during peak times they will change your temperature automatically and override your setting
