Recently bought the G55C VA panel version for $189, so this G50F IPS is a great price too. I don't care about better viewing angles on IPS, I'd rather have better blacks AND contrast that VA provides. Both have more than sufficient refresh rates (above 120Hz), with G55C at 165Hz and G50F at 180Hz. However, G50F is tempting from the fact that the base is BOTH height adjustable and swivels, which the VA G55C lacks. I prefer G55C being curved vs. G50F being flat.
Think I'll keep my G55C VA panel, although it came missing an HDMI cable, so just using the Display Port label instead, which is better anyway.

Dang, opposite here. I'm always moving around in my chair never in the same spot so IPS all the way for me.

But even IPS with a 32" screen depending how close you're sitting, the viewing angles can be bad too.
