Stainless steel cutting boards are literal trash.

The thought of the sound of metal cutting on metal gives me the chills. Is this better than wood cutting boards?

More likely to dull your knives faster. Probably ranks the same as a glass cutting board

Great way to dull your knives, not as good as titanium

Yes, it's not good, however I have some (a gift from my well meaning wife who insists upon buying me cooking gear in spite of me asking her to not)

Yes. But one benefit I have found is that these go into the dishwasher and get sterilized so I use mine for meat. I do very little cutting on them but to perform food prep (splitting chicken breasts for example) where I don't cut on the surface. To me these are great for that. Much better than wood and I don't use plastic. My wood boards are custom made by my woodworking neighbor and are only used for vegetables and cooked meat.

I wont ever use my expensive knives on these boards for obvious reasons however if using a cheapo knife or cleaver its no problem. Yea they dull them faster than normal boards but a quick pull or two in the sharpener will get it done.

I have been using it over 6months and it's been amazing... you do get a scratch mark on stainless steel but that's all, like wood or plastic- you are not eating wood/plastic in your food... go for it
Does it make noise while cutting vegetables

I have one and i also have some good knives. We mainly cut raw meat on the SS side. So i just use some "crappy" sharp steakish knives to cut the meat up. I save my good knives for wood cutting boards.

And when i say me or i, i mean my wife. I'm 100% ok with wood. She wanted SS but told her she can't use the good knives
