For those who are planning on using these with their Xbox series x/s:

You transfer the Series X/S games (eg. GTA 6) to these drives for storage, but you cannot play off them directly. Trying to play a game will make the Xbox transfer the game back to the internal storage before you can play them. Go for the expansion cards by WD or Seagate if you want to load them directly.

You can store and play Xbox One (eg. Red Dead Redemption 2) and earlier games from an external drive.

I'll be in a retirement home before the Seagate Expansion Cards drop to a reasonable price. Really not interested in these external game drives...

The AI bubble is crazy. I remember buying these for $39.99 when on sale pre bubble.

For me I use them on my Xbox 360s since 2tb is the max it recognizes.

I'm not completely confident on the internal drive but a quick search shows this youtube video of someone shucking it.

I can't decide if I want to be offended by the price or if I should buy it? I need a 2TB drive but don't want an HDD.

Lol wild times to have a 2tb hard drive at $90 price. That's insane.

It went from 10/TB to 40-50/TB. You can't tell me there isn't some sort of price fixing going on.

You can play older games directly off this. It's also good for archiving games that you want to quickly install. Even with fast internet , Xbox downloads can be slow

Fuc $45 per gig for a platter drive.

What are we in 1999?

The sad thing is even if all humans boycotted these hard drives they would all still be bought by the AI data centers

Glad I got one, but when I didn't renew game-pass thing is pretty empty. LOL
