Nitro Tech is a whey blend that delivers 30 grams of protein per serving, but the deal math looks better on larger tubs and with Subscribe and Save. The 4 pound size is described as about 39 servings, while the listing image appears to show the smaller 2 pound panel. Taste and mixability are a concern, with reports of gritty texture and chewy chunks, and the formula is also called out as a concentrate and isolate blend rather than a true isolate. A dependable option if the price and flavor work for you.

Common Questions (5)

  • Yes, the lower price can require Subscribe & Save, and the coupon may not apply without it. Some orders also show the promotion working only after switching flavors or stacking coupons.

  • At the listed price, the 4 lb tub works out to about $0.83 per serving, while the 5 lb version can be about $0.58 per serving with Subscribe & Save. That makes the larger tub the better value if the pricing is available.

  • It can be gritty and slow to blend, and some batches leave chewy or gooey chunks if not mixed long enough. Flavor feedback also varies by version, with some shoppers preferring Muscletech over other brands and others finding it unpleasant.

  • It is a blend of whey concentrate and whey isolate, not a true isolate. That means it is less processed than a pure isolate and may have more calories and cholesterol than a cleaner isolate formula.

  • The 4 lb tub is about 39 servings, not the 22 servings shown in the listing image. The picture appears to be copied from the 2 lb container.

40 servings. The nutrition panel looks like it was pulled from the smaller container.

This is a combination of whey concentrate and whey isolate - not a true isolate. A true isolate would have low calories, high protein, and little to no cholesterol as it is further processed to remove the crap. With that said, "B082DMKC2V" is also part of this deal, is a true isolate, and a much better deal that this one; it costs about $1/serving. No deals on Hydrolysate.
what is B082DMKC2V?

The picture is wrong. That's the serving size for 2 lbs.

4 lbs is about 39 servings.
Even Muscle Tech uses the 2lb nutrition data info for their 4lb tubs. What is wrong with them?

To each his own, but MuscleTech is straight NASTY. Takes forever to blend or you end up chewing goey chunks of protein, and even when you do wait for it to fully blend it's always gritty. Got 3/4 of a 5lb tub in my pantry that I use strictly as backup when I run out of ON.

I bought the 5lb gold. Better protein and just a few dollar more expensive
maybe not better protein (30gms for regular vs 24gms for Whey Gold), but it's actually cheaper at least for me.

Muscletech Whey Protein Powder (Milk Chocolate, 4 Pound) - 40 servings for $33.14 with S&S ($0.83 per serving)
Muscletech Whey Protein Powder (Cookies & Cream, 5LB) - 68 servings for $39.24 with S&S ($0.58 per serving)

Nope. As long as lgp 1 is popular then it won't be. This is the same dad as fat free of everything from the 90s.

How is the taste on this? The only flavor listed was lemon berry blizzard. The numbers in terms of calories and carbohydrates on this is really good. The reviews on the original one from this post seem to be that it tastes really good. I just cannot gag down something that just tastes awful for the sake of the protein.
