last time this came up i got the 7 inch version and was pleasantly surprised how nice my much lighter and nice it makes my hair feel. would buy again Smilie

I cant imagine how terrible the pressure is after the water is forced to go through 20 layers. look at how slow water drops out of a briter filter pitcher

Not quite an apples/apples comparison as the briter filter is simply gravity doing its thing where-as your shower head is a closed pressurized system which is pushing the water out at 65-95psi (depending on your home pressure). But I do agree, I'm guessing that filter layer has some impact on the water at exit

Has there been any tests of the water before and after these cheap filters? I'd want to verify this filter isn't putting MORE junk into my water personally. I can see the annual water reports for my city, it's already safe, just hard water.

You're likely going to need to spend more money if you want any benefit. Whole house water softener would be best.
