Andy Capp's Hot Fries are a crunchy, spicy snack with a Cheetos-like texture and no artificial colors. The flavor lands as nostalgic and satisfying for some, though others describe it as meh, stale, or tasting like plastic, with a few saying the quality is not what it used to be. The deal itself draws pushback because the per ounce price looks worse than other options, and the coupon was not always available. A decent nostalgic snack if the flavor and price work for you.
Common Questions (3)
The 7-pack is 21 oz total, and commenters compare it unfavorably to a 12-pack of 3 oz bags at $12.84 and a Walmart price of $3.21. One comment also says the coupon could not be replicated, so the listed Amazon price may not be the best value.
They're described as crunchy with a consistency similar to a crunchy Cheeto, but the coating can taste nasty or meh. Another comment calls the fries spicy, and one says they have no artificial colors.
Several comments say they used to taste great years ago, but the current version is viewed as worse, with stale or off flavors mentioned. One nostalgic comment still remembers them as very good back in the day.
