ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED Copilot+ PC for $899.99 at Staples, down from $1,249.99.

Intel Arc graphics
Up to 17-hour battery life

- The finish on the aluminum shell (cool that its aluminum) wears off in my backpack when next to my MacBook. Not an issue if you store it by itself but the finish/paint job isn't durable
- the OLED screen looks great but you can see ABL kick in when going from a dark app to a bright app, this isn't even with the screen at 100% brightness.
- the touchpad's surface wears down with use and your finger doesn't glide over it smoothly or evenly across the panel. It makes mouse movements a bit choppy and even skip. When new I thought it was great but over time its meh.
- The RGB backlight doesn't reproduce red. The closest you get is pink. I use this laptop in a dark room a lot and want the keyboard to be dark but still see the keys. Red is great for this but not here.
- Small gripe, I wish a USB-C port was on the right and a USB-A port was on the left.
Nothing here is a dealbreaker but $900 isn't nothing and some of these things could bother people enough to pass on it.
How many nits and Hz?
I'd prefer to buy ZenBook at this price

Traveling is much less stressful when you spent 400 on your laptop vs 1000$. The screen is great, and it's fantastic for music production and very light gaming.

As I waited for the shipment I realized the no touchscreen might bug me more than I thought.
Any advice on the comparison of the two? Or worth keep waiting for the amazing sale that beats them both?
