Bro, that's not a replay attack. That's a burglar doing community theater on your porch while hoping your family can't tell the difference between you and a phone screen while u hold up an iPad like Wile E. Coyote, and hopes your wife says, "Yep, that grainy hostage-video version of him looks legit, unlock the deadbolt.".

At that point the smart lock isn't the problem — it's the person watching the video.

a smart lock with a camera..what could go wrong?
Replay attack? In other words someone captures a video of you approaching the lock from a parked car and then when you are not there, approaches the smart lock and replays the captured video so the person in the house lets the intruder in ?

No deal here. Not a good camera doesn't have motion activation. Not a good deadbolt, I would not put it on my door if it was free. I don't recommend the Eufy E330 video doorbell lock either which was just on sale for $99 but at least it's got Li-ion battery, motion activation, video AI capability, chime capability, on board storage and much more. Security experts do not recommend buying electronic locks which have a keyway.

Installed this Saturday. Installation fit my previous door without any modifications. Wish instructions were more clear but it wasn't bad.

As for the functions, the fingerprint and code work great. It's also nice having a button on the inside so you don't need to even twist the latch, just click the button and it locks.

My only complaint would be that the camera only seems to activate when someone clicks the chime button or attempts to press random numbers rather than being motion activated. It would be nice if there was a way you can just open the camera and talk.

A guest has to click the chime, you get a notification on your phone with a photo. Good in concept but, we have a doorbell so i can't imagine anyone clicks it.

Still for the price it looks great, works well, and if someone is messing with your door you will know. I'd say its worth it. Plus my wife is terrible about forgetting or not having her keys. This will help her at some point.

I wonder what if the Venn diagram of people who would have an elaborate Oceans 11-type theft scheme with computer hackers perpetrated against them and those who are buying a $65 Chinese lock for their otherwise unsecured property ever meet?
