Sonos took a premium product with a premium price that was worth it and turned it into a mess with their botched software. Now they no longer can charge a premium price for their mediocre products, so they have to discount to sell them. Their very recent products are well designed, but the products released during their botched software period were mediocre and worse than the products they replaced. Not clear if Sonos can survive their self inflicted wounds.
