Circumstantial I suppose. While I suppose it could be better if you have dash pass it's not bad. Especially if you took part in the cheap DoorDash gc event they had a few days ago $100 for $75. With the $25, coupled with the $30, and $10 for my quarterly chase benefit. And the fact I don't have to deal with fees. Giving like a $7 tip to get $65 off isn't that bad at all. And no I don't pay for dash pass. I was given half a year through chase for free
This DoorDash Best Buy promo is mainly useful for stacking on already discounted items, especially small appliances, LEGO sets, chargers, toner, and other baskets that can clear the $100 threshold. The strongest examples brought the total down well below retail, and Chase DashPass benefits or DoorDash credits made the math even better. The main drag is fees and tips, which can erase much of the $30 savings, and Best Buy pricing on DoorDash can run higher than in store. Pickup is not available, returns can be awkward, and some accounts were not eligible or saw the discount pulled early.
Shoppers buying a few sale-priced electronics or toys, because the $30 off can stack with item discounts and Chase credits to beat in-store pricing.
The Best Buy selection can be very limited in the DoorDash app, with some users seeing only a small number of items and no results for categories like headphones or PS5 games. Reported workable examples include mini fridges, toner, LEGO sets, AirTags, chargers, batteries, and some small appliances.
It can be close to a wash once tip, service fees, and taxes are added, especially on smaller baskets. It becomes more worthwhile when stacked with other discounts, such as Best Buy sale prices, Chase benefits, or a DoorDash gift card credit.
Yes. The $30 off $100 promo can stack with Best Buy sale pricing and some item coupons, and Chase DashPass benefits may add another $10 off on eligible accounts. That can turn a $100 basket into a much lower total, especially on already-discounted items.
No. Best Buy orders on DoorDash are fulfilled by a dasher shopping the order, and commenters report no pickup option for this promo. That means you generally still pay delivery-related tip and fees instead of avoiding them with store pickup.
If a qualifying item is refunded because it is out of stock, the order total can drop below the $100 threshold and the $30 promo may disappear. The Chase benefit may still remain, but the main coupon is no longer available on that order.
Uber Eats haa $25 off $75 currently for Best Buy. For whatever reason my account has reduced service and delivery fees, so I'd end up saving about $10-15 after tip on the listed price, but nothing I want ends up being a good enough deal compared to just waiting on an Amazon sale or clearance.
Anker 165w battery for cheaper than reported on slicks. Govee jbl light speaker is not a bad deal. There used to be done apple deals and Google deals that made this worthwhile. You can wait and see if other items go on sale before the expiration date. If you have Chase Sapphire dash pass you get an extra 10 off so it's technically 40 off 100.
Bought Lego Smart play Vader and walker sets. They came with $10.50 and $7 in coupon discount, which added on top of the $30 here and the $10 from Chase Sapphire. With tip and tax paid $82 total for those 2 sets, Amazon would have been $120 + tax
If you are at $99 can add a 4$ pack of yugioh cards to pass the $100
added 2 ugreen chargers that came out to $99 so added pack of AAA batteries. not a bad deal $30 off $100 + $10 chase benefit. Turns out, the chargers were out of stock so they refunded me for that and I just received the AAA batteries 😑.
thankfully it looks like I still have the $10 chase benefit but that $30 off deal is no longer available

You guys must tip a lot. Here in California DoorDash drivers are paid hourly at least minimum wage and do not rely on tips. Therefore I do not tip in California.
For those complaining about the wage or wear and tear on their vehicles, Doordash and the drivers can negotiate better wages and DoorDash in turn can charge higher fees if they feel they need to. I am fine paying a higher upfront fee but it's not the customers job to factor in the cost of doing business
