I tried many generic clonable id sensors for my bmw i3 and unfortunately they didn't work. Programming tool would detect perfectly but car would not despite many resets. Got a $18 continental OEM sensor that required a $700 very specific programming tool and then it worked perfectly. Something about encryption I read. I am no professional mechanic, just sharing my experience

A couple things of note: nearly all of the reviews are vine customers who got them for free, and their "reviews" are largely just restating the listing description. Also, a couple reviews mention that programming these sensors REQUIRES the Gearwrench tpms tool and that other tpms tools like the Autel likely will not work. Might still be a good deal if you also have the GW tpms tool, but looks like a trick to get you to buy one or end up with a bunch of useless sensors if you don't.
