Higher chair height (~17) is more comfortable for bad joints and tall people (or those who use their toilet as an armchair https://youtu.be/YqQ6D0Bu-a8?t=52).
*probably all heights need a footstool anyway
Community Reviews
The TOTO Drake is a well liked two piece elongated toilet that stands out for strong flushing and a tall universal height. The Tornado Flush and directional water flow get credit for clearing waste well, and the height is comfortable for taller people or sore joints. The deal price also looks unusually low compared with past purchases. Main caveats are that this listing does not include a seat, and shipping can be a gamble because some units arrived cracked, missing parts, or with rough packaging.
Common Questions (5)
Shipping can be fine, but cracked bowls, broken tanks, and missing parts have been reported on some deliveries. Other orders arrived in perfect condition, including multiple Amazon purchases, so inspecting the box and toilet on arrival is important.
This 1.6 GPF model cannot be sold in California. A 1.28 GPF Drake version is available instead, which is the lower-flow option mentioned in the thread.
The Drake is described as very tall, closer to chair height, which can be more comfortable for bad joints or tall users but may benefit from a footstool. It is also described as nearly uncloggable, though one comment warns this specific model has a 2 1/8" trap that may affect clog resistance.
The Drake's directional Tornado Flush is cited as the key advantage, and it is described as flushing more thoroughly than other toilets tried. One commenter still preferred an older cheap toilet for keeping waste from sticking, so performance can depend on the specific unit and expectations.
No seat is included with this Amazon listing. The Costco bundle mentioned in the thread included a soft-close seat, wax ring, hardware, and a connection hose, but this deal does not, so you may need to buy those separately.

The Toto Drake II is more than double the price of this deal but it does come with a seat and flushes much more thoroughly than any other toilet I've experienced. They call it "Tornado Flush" and it is rimless, which makes it easy to keep clean.
"The Drake is good!"
