These brushes tools for $450. Is it a hassle when you have to replace brushes on all of them? And at the rapid pace of technology changing which platform makes better sense to invest in?

Homeowner or hobbies perfect setup. All day everyday use you prob want fuel. All haters remember everything built with power tool corded and cordless prior to mid 2010s was built with brushed tools.

I've been using brushed tools for 20 years. Consider myself above average DIY (many decks, remodels, projects, etc) never once have I had to replace a brush.
