More than half a million tools sold at Lowe's and online were recalled. The batteries can short-circuit and catch fire when charged via the USB-C port while inserted in the tool. The affected batteries (3.0Ah, 4.0Ah, 5.0Ah, 6.0Ah, and 8.0Ah) were sold at Lowe's from January to May 2026

Batteries came with certain Kobalt trimmers, blowers, mowers, chainsaws and pruning saws equipped with 24-volt USB-C lithium-ion batteries.

Wait a second, there is no profit to be made from this post. Who is this, and what have you done with my friend?
