I got this last week, unclear if it's a good deal though. Curious what others think. The 3 plus has short cut over time (10ms) which I was looking for. Otherwise I don't care about the extra tiny battery pack

I think the battery pack kind of sucks although the idea of dropping a phone on top is always nice... it's a bit of a swing and a miss though. If you're rationing power and need it, why use an inefficient wireless bank? And as for just clipping it on a stowing it... it's chonky, get a smaller one. Also, I feel it being warm to the touch even in the unit at full power, which suggests wasted power, at least when plugged in.

As for the unit itself though, it's very good. If the regular unit is any cheaper though go with it.

I got this a couple weeks ago for $130 after tax, about $119 before. I'm pretty happy with it. I got it and the river 2 and the river 3 plus is quite a bit better.


River 3 plus is larger capacity, the fan is significantly more quiet and the build quality is nicer The battery pack is decent, it's nice to have.
