Wooden paddles are sooooo BAD! Do not get them. Go on Amazon and search for pickleball paddles then add the filter for USED and you should be able to find a graphite paddle for $10-15. Wooden paddles are like showing up to tennis with a wooden racket from 50 years ago.

Don't buy wood ones. I bought a set of fiber paddles for $12 at Amazon which is the lowest ever. Normally $20-30 is good price.

The best paddles are not sold as a set. You can get a REALLY great paddles these days for $99 from companies like Vatic, Honolulu Pickleball, 11six24, Friday sells their original paddle in a set of two for $99, and is probably the cheapest high quality starter paddle you can get outside of the JUCIAO paddles on Aliexpress.
