Vudu (now officially Fandango At Home) has a Middle Earth sale for various versions of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, with bundles starting at $19.99 https://athome.fandango.com/conte...Sale/23755
You can also buy the individual movies by themselves, but you that's not a cost effective way to buy the trilogies.

Is it a good idea to buy this? Are they downloaded or streams? Do you get Dolby atmos and full 4K like from a blu-ray?
You can either stream or download, and if you have it hooked up to Movies Anywhere, you should be able to play / download on AppleTV, Prime Video, Google Play Movies, etc..
This is incorrect. If you go to fandango dot com, you will get their movie ticket site.If you go to athome dot fandango dot com, you will get their digital movie sale / rental platform.
I didn't blindly say something was wrong. I included links demonstrating that it was. From a practical perspective, users don't care what it's being called. They care about knowing how to access their content.
Fandango at home used to be Vudu. Now it's called "Fandango" but the website is still Fandango at home if you bother to look at the url. If you search for Fandango without the at home, it will take you to Fandango's main website, which is their ticket sales and doesn't directly link to their digital storefront.
So rather than confuse people, I use language that clearly identifies what the service is, what it used to be, and how to access it.

Your post calls it "now Fandango At Home", I just included news stating that this name is going away. That's it. In smart TVs the app has already changed and is just Fandango now. Websites and cellphone apps see the least usage so they are going to make changes later.

And when that actually happens, it will no longer be necessary to distinguish between the Fandango ticket sales website / app and the Fandango at home website / app. In the meantime, it makes sense to provide accurate information so people understand how to find it, rent or make purchases, and access their content.
Saying "it's all just Fandango now" may be technically accurate. It is the same company. But if people are trying to access digital content, they still need to go somewhere separate from the main Fandango ticket sales website/app.
I think it's always worthwhile when replying to consider whether your response genuinely provides useful context or information, or just confuses people.

And yes, they are 4K with Dolby Atmos
It's just Fandango now. No more At Home
