Save $160 if you switch from the $14.95 monthly plan to the $199 yearly plan that gives you 24 credits (double the rate). After your first year the price increases $31.50 to $229.50 per year ($9.56 a credit).

Log into Audible and see if they offer you the deal. I was out of credits for the month and saw this banner popup at the top of the page.

Last time I bought a yearly membership and used the credits it wouldn't let me quit the program until the expiration date and I was unable to take advantage of the usual quit and rejoin offers usually posted on here.

Just to let you know who want it for free. Your nearest public library provides 98% audiobooks what audible offers for free.

Yes! Libraries are wonderful, and the Libby app is a permanent fixture on my phone.

How do you know what my public library offers?

I did a quick check on two of the book series that I listen to. My library offers less than half of both of the series. On a third series, they offered one of eight audio books in the series.

I checked my sisters library (in another state.) That library offers even less.

I have all of the books in those three series. I'm able to share my Audible account with my sister. It is much better than the public library for us.

I recommend chatting with customer service to see if you're eligible for the current $86/12 credits. Most people (including myself) report being able to get that on request - although you might try to get a free or discounted month if they turn you down when you're not a paying member, because getting this usually happens when I am paying.

And yes, to get 24 credits/year you just call/chat in twice in a year, I haven't been turned down.

I use Libby all the time, but the library has maybe 50% of the books I look for on Kindle and it has 0% of the LitRPGs I like.

Also, be prepared to wait weeks, or months for a popular book on Libby.

Libby is great, and I use it to supplement my Audible library for books that I'm not sure I want to spend a credit on. But 98% might be a bit high depending on your library system. Some are print only, some aren't on Libby at all. And be aware the ones in high demand you may have to wait several months, so for new releases that you really want it's not always worth the wait. Using Audible and Libby combined is the best move IMO.
