This is an insanely good deal on a great product. I use Thermacell pads/vape cartridges all summer long, this unit is as cheap or cheaper than the refill it contains. I carry an extra or two to give to suffering campers I meet at the site as a fun gift.

I usually ruggedized model for camping, it works really well. Just keep in mind it charges over micro-USB.

This is the Thermacell repellent you want (e series metofluthrin pods, not the older less effective pads), but this is probably the worst way to get it (10ft radius, 6hr battery life).

Costco has the E95 currently for $40 in store or $44 online (72hrs of metofluthrin, 12hr battery, 20ft radius). If you're not with Costco, at least find an e series with a full size pod (36hrs)... You'll end up spend the money on refills anyway ($13 per 36hrs on a good day).

To add on top of AbedO's comment, the version OP posted has micro usb. Newer versions are now usb c.

I second AbedO's comment on getting it from Costco. That one is usb c. Plus, it has a fast charging dock

Ordered 2 and they both came with dried up refill. Not really a good deal at all. Gonna return mine. Anyone else has the same experience for this?

*Just realized items under $20 cannot be returned. Buyers beware and be ready to order the refills that will end up spending more like others. have warned.

Bought 3 thinking it's cheaper than the price of a refill. Hoping not all dried up!
