I really doubt it can handle the volume. It will only fill a little bike tire about 3-4 times. There are larger units out there made for moto and car tires.

They have larger units designed for car tires- I would recommend one of those for an all purpose solution. These little ones are really for bike riders to carry with them in case they get a flat on the road. I have one just like this I carry in my jersey pocket. That or a small manual pump. CO2 cartridges work great but the average user doesn't know how to use them with the chuck.

Agreed. I usually carry a mini hand pump in my jersey pocket which gives unlimited fills. I have a small pump like this one here and they really work and a good option to keep in the bike bag. The hand pumps can be a chore pushing hundreds of times per tire. CO2 cartridges are handy but it takes a little practice can be a little tricky with the chuck. Maybe a little wasteful. These mini pump are getting better every year. Another thing that HAS to be charged of course!

Exactly. I carry mine in my bike bag and it for emergency use on the road only. I thought I could carry it in my jersey pocket but it just a little too heavy. Compared to hundreds of pumps on the hand pump, it's a nice change. Some days I bring this and others I'll carry the hand pump. I run tubeless so maybe get a flat every other year. Last flat was 5,500 miles ago so the lighter hand pump makes sense for me.

Endless choices. The one I posted has an LED light which is really useful. Also, it actually states the mAh battery capacity as opposed to the ambiguous claim of "long battery life." Weight and dimensions are different (could be different internals, case material and thickness, battery size). Claimed number of fills for certain sized tires at different PSI and bar are different. The one you found could be just as good or better.

I avoid co2 because it is one and done. A possible scenario is that the shard that flattened your bike tube is still in the tire, and you missed it. Not hard to do in field conditions. So your spare tube is also compromised. With co2, the cartridge is spent already. With this or a manual pump, you can limp home or to a LBS. Anything to avoid that embarassing phone call to someone to come pick you up Big Grin

Battery is not your concern when pushing these little pumps to the limit, it's heat. They will burn out very easily if you try to fill a car tire. Plenty of bigger ones out there for car tires, and no need for a battery since you can run off 12v cigarette port or USB if your car has.

This is NOT for car tires. And who needs to carry a car tire inflator in their pocket instead of in their car?

Heat is absolutely an issue. Have seen testing/shootouts on many of these smaller bike pumps and as the battery discharges, pumps pressure output drops. This is definitely related to heat since it extends total pump time.

Right. I think that says a lot. There seems to be a lot of confusion for this product's use-case. An emergency bicycle tire inflator vs. car, motorcycle, ATV, etc.
