Something is going on with Amazon and the Coupons on the website. There have been several items that I looked at that said something like 30% or 40% off if you do the Subscribe and Save but when you go to checkout it does not show the 30% or 40% off off. This has been going on all weekend.

M-kay. Amazon gives those coupons to people who don't buy with SnS often in amazon's opinion. Once their algo decides you are not one of those people any longer, amazon stops giving you the SnS coupons.

From what you described, to me it looks like you've just crossed the line of "no coupons". Part of the amazon site still shows you cached "standard" version with the coupons, but the "real" checkout page knows you have been "stimulated and familiarized" with SnS enough to stop.

Of course, you can try to clear cookies/use "private" mode and see if it helps, but I doubt it'd work.

Welcome to "no longer casual" amazon SnS shoppers world.

Ah that explains it. I have indeed taken advantage of some Amazon Subscribe and Saves recently and even one that was really good for the Dog Food I always buy on Amazon that popped up out of the blue. I guess Amazon only wants the discounts for users that do not take advantage of it thay often. Your probably right that if I clear my cache those coupon offers that are showing but not applying will disappear. Thanks for the explanation.

Yw.
Some people say creating a new acc with a new email/phone/cc with old address works to make amazon algo think you are a new customer. I didn't bother to try.

I just did the incognito and the coupon still shows available but does not apply even went on another browser and still shows but will not apply. So you are correct that clearing cache or incognito private mode does not do anything. I wonder it they will make available to me again.

Here is what I found via AI on Google. Which I guess I can't blame Amazon as I know most people cancel after they subscribe and save. Amazon has not completely stopped offering Subscribe & Save (S&S) coupons, but the way they work has significantly changed. [1, 2, 3]
While brands still offer these coupons, Amazon made major adjustments to the program to prevent shoppers from exploiting the system—specifically by canceling the subscription immediately after getting the first-order discount. [1, 2]
Key reasons why you might not be seeing or easily using S&S coupons include:
  • Stricter Coupon Stacking Rules: Amazon no longer allows you to change your delivery dates without losing the applied coupons. If you reschedule an order, Amazon's system will often automatically reorder the item at the regular price and remove the coupon. [1]
  • Shift in Default Subscriptions: Amazon stopped defaulting customers to subscriptions at checkout. Because this reduced initial subscription rates, brands now deploy their coupons more aggressively on first-time orders rather than recurring ones to ensure legitimate subscription growth. [1]
  • Algorithmic Pauses: Amazon will automatically pause or cancel subscription deliveries if there is a lower-priced offer available or if the seller's inventory runs low. [1]
  • Program Exploitation: Historically, a massive percentage of shoppers utilized Subscribe & Save strictly to stack coupons and cancel immediately. In response, Amazon and third-party sellers have adjusted how and when these deep-discount coupons are issued to avoid losing money. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Once I crossed the line a couple of years ago, it never came back. Let me know if I'm wrong and the coupons start working for you.

Looks like you and I will only be able to get the minimum subscribe and save discounts but no longer the ones with a coupon. I can fault Amazon for preventing coupons to shoppers that will always cancel subscribe and save. Even there subscribe and save feature is flawed for items that you continue to order all the time like dog food that I purchase. I will put 6 months then when my dog is ready I will try to bring it earlier and I can't so one time I clicked cancel subscription and said reason want it sooner let me put the order in but kept the original subscription that was coming up in a month and created a 2nd one.

slickdeals are full of non-casuals who don't get these SnS coupons. Frustrating thing is that there are still coupons not related to your "non-casual" status, but OPs don't understand or don't care to mark the title for type of the coupon they list in their deal post. So the only way to know is to click the link and see for yourself. A waste of time.

This post author (bot?) phoinix actually does it almost right, see the link "activate and apply" he did? That's the sign of a coupon for casuals. Wish he'd explain it and marked it as such in the title.

edit:
Hmmm... Come to think of it, FP mods began editing posts titles with [Select Accounts] = casuals? Maybe, it will catch on in the hot deals/groceries forum... One can dream.

Yeah this post should have read for select accounts. Not sure I understand the Casual and Non-Casual status can you clarify?
