To add more details to what is already posted -This is the 16 oz version. Most online recipes will be for this version. Costco has the deluxe version - 24 oz containers. Less online recipes for this, but easy to 1.5x a recipe and make it 24 oz. The online creami community primarily uses these to make high protein, low calorie lite ice cream. Both versions do this well.

We just got the deluxe one and I've been impressed with the output. It's not like those machines that you have to freeze the outside part. You do have to plan what you want a day ahead of time though because it has to freeze for around 24 hrs but once you get the process down, it does a good job.

The slush is really just for slushies. It doesn't really make ice cream according to some YouTube reviews. I have the gourmia soft serve machine and use it for ice cream mostly but it does work nicely for slushies. But to make regular ice cream with add-ins I think a Cuisinart one where you put the container in the freezer before starting is really good for that.

What I like about the gourmia is it has a chiller so it only takes 30 minutes to make an ice cream. Ive made 3 different ice creams back to back in a couple hours when we first got the machine. It's not perfect but it works. I'm looking at ordering the dole whip powder mix from Amazon to put in the machine to have dole whip like at Disneyland and Hawaii.

I have the gourmia soft serve from Costco and it has a chiller built in so you don't need to freeze the night before. It only take 30 minutes to make ice cream and when it's empty you can clean it out and start all over and make another batch 30 minutes later. But you can't make ice cream with add-ins, no whole pieces of anything.

I bought this originally in 2021 for around $150 from Kohl's. Worked well for 9 months until grease issue around drill bit area getting into pints after processing. Ninja sent replacement for free. My current one is still very loud. Only issue was blade coming off mid processing which made pint stuck in machine. Ninja offered to replace it for $130 out of warranty. And last holidays I bought 11 in 1 deluxe version from Costco for $150.
Eventually blade issue seemed to not happen anymore so I didn't really need to buy a new one so I just have it for back up in case my nc301 breaks down eventually. if you love ice cream great investment but special ingredients and toppings do get expensive sometimes especially if you do sugar free recipes.
