is it me - or does this seem over priced with a lot of upvotes?

So far, from my experience, these have barely decent resolution where I'm not sure if my label will get rejected at FedEx / UPS. Go with a Dymo or Zebra if you want quality shipping labels Smilie

As long as the number is legible, they can still type it in manually!

I think I bought an ugly red wired one for like 15 bucks which has worked well.

I wanted to buy a bluetooth one to connect to PC but it didn't work too well. Fine from the phone app. Returned it.

These are all give or take made in the same factory. At $50, I would say this is overpriced and you can wait for a better deal.

I went 23 years casually selling on eBay. I finally bought a thermal printer; new open box Brother model off eBay. Third party labels off eBay ($13/600) work fine. I do have to go through extra steps to screen shot the label since the actual PDF is too blurry.

What's the difference between this and the cheaper $40 thermal printers on amazon? They all look the same

With a brother label you should be able to print directly from the ebay app or website without issue. Just make sure you have your label size settings on ebay set to the same size label you're using.

Nothing, this one is just a bit overpriced. All of these cheapos however require you to first download the label then open it in their app to print it, as opposed to printing directly from the app or site you're using.

For whatever reason, PDFs print out faint and grainy despite any adjustments. Taking a screenshot and then printing is a night and day difference.
