I bought one a few weeks ago and I like it. The dryer mode keeps my place cool all by itself. It comes with sealing foam but its pretty mediocre.

I've had a version of this from years ago, worked well and kept me warm in a room all winter long. I just bought a Midea that didn't have heat and I'm somewhat kicking myself, but it was a 14K/12K so much more cooling capacity. I love that we have these smaller heating options though, back even just 10 years ago, you really only saw this with the 220v window units and most of them were resistive heating.

Hello! How was the energy costs when you used the heat? I'm curious how's the energy consumption when compared to a space heater which is super inefficient.

I hate to say it, it was years ago. Looked like the exact same model but likely was different. I was using those infrared space heaters and this did so much better and at least on paper, it was probably 2-3x more expensive to use the infrared heaters since they were all 1800 or 2200w. It's not going to heat a larger space but it's definitely going to do better than space heaters. One thing I've done with the ac part is add a pedestal fan and pushed the cooler air around and circulate. It won't heat or cool a big space but it may make it more tolerable that way.

For anyone that has an air conditioner with a heat pump, how do you deal with the condensate water? Do you elevate the AC and drain it into a bucket?

I have mine on one of those wooden dollies from Harbor Freight and it drains into a rubbermaid container that is around 14" x 10" x 3" deep.

I was curious about the power consumption, too. So Google says...
"The Hisense AP55023HR1GD consumes roughly 950 watts when cooling and up to 1200 watts when operating in heat pump mode."

I have a Hisense AC a few years old. But this year it's got a musty smell when it's set to AC but only the fan is running after the AC his the set temp and cuts off.

I've flushed the lines out they had some gunk, cleaned filter, etc but it have gotten better.

Any suggestions?

You may have to pull the plastic shell off and look into the condensate tray below the coil or the coil itself may have crap on it that needs cleaned.
