Can some of these beads be relocated into other containers to use in separate spaces?

Yes, but the scent is not very strong. They are 95 percent water.

Also, because these beads are made of superabsorbent polymers, they expand dramatically when exposed to moisture. Keep them strictly out of reach of children and pets, as accidental ingestion can cause dangerous gastrointestinal blockages.

There are practical reasons you should still wash your hands after handling them:
  • Fragrance Residue: The synthetic fragrance oils can transfer to your skin. If you don't wash your hands, you might accidentally rub your eyes or touch your mouth, which can cause a mild, uncomfortable stinging sensation.
  • Slippery Film: The emulsifiers (like the ethoxylated castor oil) can leave a slight, slippery film on your fingers.
  • Microscopic Beads: If a bead breaks or mashes down, small fragments of the sodium polyacrylate gel can stick to your skin. While non-toxic on your hands, you definitely don't want to accidentally ingest them.
As long as you give your hands a quick rinse with soap and water after moving or adjusting them, you have absolutely nothing to worry about regarding residue.

These honestly suck. They last maybe 4–8 hours, then the scent starts fading. The beads melt down and they just don't hold their fragrance like they should. No wonder they dropped so much in price. I'd honestly buy something else if I were you.
