I've liked these in the past bit recently thought they tasted nasty. Metallic taste.

I feel like ginger beer is a marketing gimmick. If you compare ingredients, they are same as ginger ale, but just because of the name ginger beer, higher price feels justified.
Have you ever tasted ginger beer? Its tastes different than Ale

No way... as the other poster replied, ginger 'beer' is a proper mixer, concentrated beverage, fortified flavor — whereas ginger 'ale' is more-so a soda/pop, faint flavoring, and a dilute beverage.

Grab a 2L of Jamaican/similar ginger-beer, the taste/flavor/spice is really enjoyable. Or Gosling cans. Or Reeds/TraderJoes bottles. I *still* like ginger-ale for what it is...

I do use this in my whiskey and bourbon after my wife tells me to stop buying SpaceX stock...now if you see a deal for Blenheim's Ginger Ale you can wake me up for that.

I stock up on the bottled version of this when costco puts it on sale once or twice a year.

agree with you; the bottles are good for ~2 (of my) cocktails - the cost per ounce of this is better currently, but the Costco deal is better when on sale

It's really different from your standard ginger ale. Much stronger and more gingery.

I just got couple cases of some decent Jamaican ginger beer in bottles. I also think the cans often taste more like seltzer water and Ginger having a more metallic or bitter taste. I just got finished not enjoying Owens in the can before getting the DG's and i think I will pass on most barnds in the can other than gosling for now.

Fever-Tree isn't a great name imho, regardless of what it tastes like. "New! From the makers of Fever-Tree Ginger Beer comes Malaria Lake Cherry Soda!"
