I had an S50 for years, it's great, but if you have an animal the small bagging area so to speak fills up with fluff rather quickly. I'm not a huge fan of overcomplicating things, but I think it's probably worth getting a self-empting model, at least if you have a cat or dog.

I have two Roborocks, a Q5 Pro and a Q7-L5 that is I believe the replacement to that Q5 pro. Both of them I got around this price.

The Q5 pro is hands down better at cleaning and has 2 brushes instead of 1. It's got a bigger dustbin since there's no water tank for the mopping feature we don't use.

The Q7 L5 I got for another floor and it's not as good of a unit, but satisfactory at this price. It has 1 brush, less suction and dustbin capacity and seems to be of lesser build quality than the Q5. I happened to get this unit for my family as a gift and their first one was a lemon, quite a hassle to return and replace. The replacement is working, as is mine.

Overall Roborock software and mapping is great once you get it figured out. We're happy with all our units, but I wish I'd have bought more of the Roborock Q5 Pro when they were on a slickdeal.
