Tapo cameras are almost always a few bucks off no matter which model. This is a pretty normal price.

Bad deal. The pan tilt 2k version was $25 when I ordered a couple days ago and the 2 pack is $50 as of today. 2 pack $50 https://www.amazon.com/Tapo-Indoo...B0F5J531ZV or 1 pack $25 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FGB69DG7

Lets totally ignore the fact the 2 pack you whined about is STILL available for $50 from other sellers with free shipping because mentally handicapped people obviously can't read before whining.

Is there third party firmware for the Tapo? Like wyze has thingino, is there something similar for Tapo?

I have a TAPO it's fine. UI is good in the app, I can get alerts and set a "range" so it doesn't alert to people on the sidewalk. Also local storage is FREE and you can access it via your wifi even when you are outside your house. FREE. Don't pay. The app is the "TAPO" app, directly from them.

I'm all-in with Tapo too, mainly for the local storage ability. Mine have been largely trouble free except for the SD card suddenly requiring reformatting once.

I have a few of these, you do need the app to initially set them up, but once they're connected you can turn on ONVIF and use them with a local NVR like Frigate or similar. I haven't seen any aftermarket firmware but also haven't looked, since they support this natively (big advantage vs Wyze). I keep them on a network that doesn't have Internet access and they keep working just fine.

This price is good but fairly typical, as others have mentioned

I have had wyve for 7 years but I'm just about done with the freezing every time you want to live stream they're useless. Is tapo better? Is there anything in this price range that is POE?
