i don't have a ton of flashlight knowledge, but i can definitely say that if the anker rechargeable i own is honest about its 900 lumens, then these are probably around 500, which is plenty bright for walking the dog in my suburban neighborhood
the adjustable lens is also neat, as you can make the throw so short that the output is the actual square shape of the led circuitry and you can see the shape of it on the ground
