This receiver held its value. I remember this is how much it cost brand new 5 years ago.

I actually have it. Its ok. I like the sound processing of sony receivers instead. At the time this was the cheapest for the features though

I had this model as well for 5.1 setup. All the features works great and has Pure Mode for 2 channel stereo listening too. It works great with Sony 3.1 or 5.1 speaker set up .. should work great with many other high sensitivity speakers like Jamo or Klipsh speakers . But it does not have enough power to drive low sensitivity speakers (generally below 86 dB or lower) such as ELAC or some Polk speakers .

This isn't a great deal; the new replacement RX300 can be found around this price. New look, 5th foot like Aventage line. Same power ratings and capabilities.

What happenes? I swear with my AVR that I need to update for 2.1 it resets the avr every now and then by overheating
