These small purifiers are not really cost effective. In the long run, they require filter replacements at shorter intervals and will have a higher yearly service cost. They also take a lot longer to effectively clean the air in a room. Look for something in the $100+ range where value usually is the best.

I have the Winix c909 from Costco. It costs 200 but regularly goes on sale for 160. It comes with two years of air filters included. Replacements are cheap thru Costco and even cheaper if you buy generic filters from Amazon. It runs really quiet on the lower settings.
