I had a 2200 that I bought during the pandemic. Didn't last even 6 months before it needed its first warranty repair which was a disaster and when it broke again I just gave up.
They bought Saeco which we had used for 5+ years without an issue and I'm sorry for replacing it as obviously quality significantly declined after the acquisition.
Good price but I would rather have a Delonghi Magnifica Evo at this price. I did buy this from Costco when it was on sale about a month ago and I found the espresso to be very weak. Returned and bought a Delonghi which I like much better.
Sounds like Delonghi is the way to go. My 10yr old Magnifica still going strong. My family make at least 3 shots daily on weekdays, more on weekends. Amazing value.
Got both Magnifica and this Phillips. Both going strong for 2+ years. Agreed that DeLonghi makes better espresso. Difference isn't huge. Phillips does need a bunch of initial cycles to get to the designed coffee composure. So don't get discouraged with your first few cups.
This is approx. what I paid around 2022(?) for a 3200 LatteGo on PrimeDay, it came with a few extra AquaClean filters. I had been on the fence for year(s) awaiting a "deal"...
And I really liked the 5400, 4400, and (Saeco) Xcelsis — but they never had any deals at the time or went OOO at Philips when given a promo-code.
Good time to buy super-automatics as of late with all the offerings and deals!
