This Krups flat burr grinder is aimed at everyday drip coffee, with 18 grind settings and a price that has dropped to about $35 with coupons. The flat burr design is framed as a solid budget option, and one reference calls a similar Krups model good enough for daily drip brewers. The main drawbacks are that it does not reach espresso fineness, runs very loud, and creates a lot of static. Review filtering for this exact model also points to poor feedback, making it a cautious pick for basic brewing.
Common Questions (4)
It is described as "good enough" for everyday drip brewers. The 18-setting version is also a flat burr grinder, which can be a solid choice for consistent drip grinding when you do not need espresso-fine grounds.
Yes. A site coupon reportedly took $14 off the listed price, and another purchase used a 30% kitchen-appliance coupon to bring it to $35.
If you want the best grind quality for the money, a manual grinder like the KinGrinder P2 is suggested instead. The reason given is that the grinder affects coffee quality more than most other controllable factors, and the manual option is said to produce tastier coffee at a similar price.
No. Even on the finest setting, it is still too coarse for espresso and is better suited to drip coffee. It is also reported to be very loud and to create a lot of static.

Flat burrs are more common for high end espresso grinders than conical. There are high end conical ones too, each type highlights different things in the coffee.
But to blanket say you want a conical burr for a "better" grind is flat out not true. If anything it's the other way around - all things being equal- a flat burr produces a more consistent grind.
(All things being equal meaning, you're pitting a high end conical against another high end flat burr for a fair comparison.)
