This is basically the normal price now. Also, this was a lot cheaper when they were closing them out last year. This is extraordinarily expensive for the tech in it given you can buy a Panasonic s1ii for less which is basically going to be close to the sl3 in performance.

More like the opposite.

There is a Leica premium, but it's not as much as people think. The equivalent Pano is an expensive camera also and Leica does assemble in a slightly more premium shell.

I am not recommending it; I think people should buy a Pano instead. But the Leica tax is less than what people think.
