I have one, and I like it. This version regularly went for 100 bucks, and at that price there's stiff competition. But at 50 bucks, I don't think you're gonna find a better sounding compact Bluetooth speaker. I really like the size, it's large enough to put out decent volume, but small and light enough to easily pack in a carry-on or personal bag for travel without taking up too much space. It also floats, which is nice for the pool and lake trips. (Not that I would recommend throwing it in the water, but it's peace of mind if it happens to fall in.)

The real question is do you need a compact Bluetooth speaker? If so, this is a great one. You won't regret it. However, if it's not something you really have a use for, then it's throwing $50 out the window, no matter how good it is.

I think it lacks the mic so not one to use on speakerphone. For sound, solid for what Bose offers.

One question. Does the price of this item number remain same at all warehouses? My nearby warehouse says out of stock but is available within 10 miles.

Not that I'd drive that far for a speaker, but every warehouse within 100mi. shows "Item not sold at warehouse."

You can look for the price in Costco App for both online and warehouses. It's likely the prices would match but I've seen otherwise as well.

im not in the market for one, but those things have impressive sound. that little thing can fill out and entire living room with loud and crisp sound. great bass too. any casual music listener would be happy with this.

The Bose SoundLink Flex SE Gen 2 (Costco) differs from the retail SoundLink Flex Gen 2 primarily by lacking a built-in microphone and speakerphone capabilities, stripping some app support, and being limited to fewer color choices. In exchange, the Costco Special Edition is usually sold at a lower price point

I just got 2 at my local Costco tool. Just use the app to search under Warehouse tab. Cool thing about these speakers is that they can be sync'ed for stereo effect.

Grabbed two of them this morning! Setting up a proper stereo pair for $100 is a steal. I immediately jumped on the Bose app and set the EQ to +6 bass and +3 treble—totally woke these speakers up.

I also bought a Soundcore Boom V2 from Costco earlier this year. I like the Soundcore more for raw power, but they serve different purposes in our household. The Soundcore is better for outdoor volume, while the paired Bose setup is sweet for compact, high-quality stereo sound.

I charged and powered these up as well. I was trying to use the bose connect app but it was restricted and ended up using the regular Bose app. I believe the former had more features. But like u, glad I got two of them this morning. I checked stock again in my area just now, more than half the stores are now out of stock. Other thing I noticed is that it seems like the shortcut button works now to link the other speaker after the product update. I was hesitant bcz a previous poster mentioned it crippled some features.

Thanks OP, Got couple. Was eyeying them for some time as they have been around $79. These are good gifts and everyone loves them. The app showed available in one Costco , which did not have it when I was there in store. Drove to another one nearby and they had in stock. But most of them are OOS now.

I got them at $80. I like them.

There was a firmware update a few months back that changed their behavior. For example, it won't tell you
The battery percentage and a sound when the speakers turn off. You can find complaints about it.

I am trying to avoid updating the firmware by not using the Bose app with the speakers when connected to the internet. Both speakers need to be on the same firmware to pair.
