This is primarily for video. If she wants to take mainly photos, then look into A6700/6600/6400.
I can confirm - this camera is made for video. The A6700 would be great for photo and video use.
Also, I highly recommend the following Viltrox Pro lenses for Sony GM level performance at half the price. These 3 lenses covers nearly every possible photo situation:
### 1. Ultra-Wide Angle: Viltrox 13mm f/1.4 (approx. 20mm equivalent)
* **Best For:** Vlogging, real estate, landscapes, and astrophotography.
* **Why it's highly rated:** This is widely considered a "must-have" Viltrox lens for the ZV-E10 II [1][2][3]. It provides a wide enough field of view for handheld vlogging—even when applying the camera's active stabilization crop [1][4]. The f/1.4 aperture is incredibly fast for an ultra-wide lens, making it exceptional in low light and capable of providing shallow depth of field, which is rare for this focal length [3][4].
### 2. Standard / Normal: Viltrox 27mm f/1.2 Pro (approx. 40mm equivalent)
* **Best For:** Everyday shooting, storytelling, street photography, and environmental portraits.
* **Why it's highly rated:** Part of Viltrox's premium "Pro" line, reviewers frequently refer to this as a "God lens" or a cinematic powerhouse for Sony APS-C cameras [3][5]. The incredibly fast f/1.2 aperture provides massive light gathering capabilities and creamy, full-frame-level bokeh [5]. While it is larger and heavier than standard prime lenses, the optical sharpness and cinematic look easily justify the size [3][5].
### 3. Portrait / Short Telephoto: Viltrox 56mm f/1.4 or 75mm f/1.2 Pro
Depending on how tight you like your portraits, Viltrox has two massive hits in this category:
* **Viltrox 56mm f/1.4 (approx. 85mm equivalent):** This is the classic portrait focal length. It is compact, lightweight, and incredibly sharp, making it highly balanced on the small body of the ZV-E10 II [1][2][6].
* **Viltrox 75mm f/1.2 Pro (approx. 112mm equivalent):** If you are willing to handle a heavier lens, this "Pro" line lens is optically flawless. It provides extreme background compression and separation that makes subjects "pop" out of the background, though you have to stand quite far back to use it [3].
*(Note: Viltrox also recently released a highly praised, budget-friendly 35mm f/1.7 that is incredibly light and pairs perfectly with the ZV-E10 II, if you want something smaller/cheaper than the 27mm Pro [6][7].)*
Last I ordered directly from Viltrox, there was free shipping and no sales tax. There may be coupon codes floating around online as well.
