When ordering tickets online, there's a fee. Fortunately my local theater is never sold out for daytime movies, so I just buy them there.

Stubs is free. Stubs Premiere which waives the online fees has a fairly low cost (I always reup when they have a discount deal so I don't remember the actual cost) which is worth it if you go to AMC a few times a year. A-List is the subscription as many movies as you want to come see thing which I guess is worth it if you see a lot of movies which isn't me.
