The 9900X3D is kind of a weird CPU that doesn't make sense to me because it is a compromise of being a great gaming CPU like the 9800X3D but costing more because it has a few more cores, but not having as many cores as the 9950X3D. Most gamers want the 9800X3D because it is at least $100 less than this and they don't need the few extra cores, and most people who want more cores but also good gaming ability get the 9950X3D like I did since it has double the cores of the 9800X3D and still has the extra cache so it works a lot better than the non-X3D variant for most games. I wish I didn't upgrade from the 7950X3D to the 9950X3D because I saw maybe a 5% increase in performance for most things I do which was NOT worth the cost now that I see how miniscule the performance difference actually is.
