This Intex pool cover is being used as a low cost tarp for pool winterizing and other outdoor jobs, with the main appeal being the price and decent build for the money. It is described as better quality than typical covers, and the drain holes are visible in customer photos and the listing description. The cover may need some water in the pool to stay put, and heavy wind, storms, or snow can lift sections. The seller also cancelled an order, so fulfillment may be a concern.
Common Questions (5)
It can be used for winterizing, but it is not ideal in heavy snow because sections can ride up in storms and snow. Leaving some water in the pool helps hold it in place.
At $9.20, it is considered a strong value and worth buying even if it does not last long. The low price makes it practical to buy multiples for seasonal use.
Yes. The cover has drain holes distributed around the perimeter and through the middle, and they are visible in customer photos even when they are not obvious in stock images. The listing description also mentions them.
It can blow or ride up in storms and snow, especially if the pool is not holding the cover down with some water. A solar cover is suggested as a better option for wind resistance and warming the water.
Yes. It can be used as a tarp-style cover for other outdoor jobs, such as keeping a large pile of wood chip mulch mostly dry.
