"No Artificial Sweeteners", yet they still add stevia leaf extract which gives it a terrible bitter aftertaste for those who are sensitive to it.

It's probably not bad since the second ingredient is sugar. I hate stevia but I've had several stevia+sugar drinks and they weren't terrible. The sugar apparently masks the stevia's bitterness.

While stevia is touted as a natural sweetener, it's probably no better or worse than artificial sweeteners like sucralose. Recent research shows that all non-caloric sweeteners increase your risk for diabetes.

The working hypothesis is that when your tongue tastes sweetness, it tells the pancreas produces insulin in anticipation of sugar. But when no sugar comes, the body gets confused. If this happens repeatedly, the pancreas gets pissed and eventually ignore sweetness as a cue to produce insulin. In other words, you have diabetes.

Stevia isn't artificial, it's a plant you can literally grow at your house right now.

I get it, I just want products that have less sugar without adding Stevia (or other natural or artificial sweeteners) in its place. Similar to those who think cilantro taste like soap, I have a variation in taste receptor genes that makes Stevia taste super bitter that just lingers for 10+ minutes and it sucks. I figured I'd share for others who might have the same sensitivity to Stevia.
