I remember when I used to only waste $200 on TP-Link routers which wouldn't last a year.

Wild to spend that kind of money on a router that will probably be EOL, support wise, in a few years. I doubt it can do OpenVPN at any reasonable speed either. For $500 one should put together a pfSense or OpenWrt box and use a dumb AP.

I had a good experience with TP-Link except the updates. TP-Link does not support Archer devices for long.
