As someone who played the OG religiously, this is a solid REmake.

If Sony can keep their game sales at such price, I wouldn't mind going full digital!

Resident evil remake trilogy, deluxe edition, for $20 more

https://store.playstation.com/en-...0000000003

Resident evil 2 remake deluxe, resident evil 3 remake deluxe, resident evil 4 remake gold edition

Much better offer since the DLC alone makes it cheaper to buy this set even though I already own all 3 normal editions.

And Digital all the way. Cheaper, more convenient. Sony knows if they fark with people's games it will cost them a lot more in the long run. They haven't taken anyone's paid games away yet, and I don't see them doing it in the future.

Either way, live in the moment. I have a stack of NES and SNES games in the garage. Am I ever playing those? No. If I wanted to, I'd play the digital versions

They did take away people's movies that they paid for, and that sets the precedent that they will do it to games as well

So again, have they removed anyone's ability to play or redownload any games, over the past 20 years, that people have purchased?

I'm not talking about movies, I'm not talking about music. Games that people have paid for.

And the answer is: no.

Theyve removed games from the store due to licensing, but if you purchased it? You can still redownload it today.

So that sets the precedent that Sony will not take away your digital games.

Would I trust them with movies? Which is a whole other beast? Absolutely not. Games? They've given me no reason not to.

We need to quit moving the goalposts like this until Sony does fark up, and then they'll lose all kinds of support and won't deserve a free break. Until that happens? They've been solid so far

Also if you don't sign in to psn for over 3 years, they can revoke your license as well

Sony says they reserve the right to close accounts inactive for 36 months. If your account is targeted, Sony will email you and provide a 6-month grace period to sign in or request that the account remain open.

Is this good? Not really.

Has Sony ever done this? I highly doubt they've done it on accounts who purchased anything. But they can. I assume these are accounts created but never used, similar to what Gmail and many other services do.

I love digital, and was buying more digitals because it was so convenient and the sales can be pretty cheap especially when combined with deals on ps cards. But with the recent announcements of getting rid of physical, it's a red flag for me, and will push me to buy more physical instead. With the realization that you don't really own the digital games, it doesn't sit well with me, enough for me to not support the Sony and the eventual ps6.
