16:10 was a terrible standard. Why not advocate for 5:4 while you're at it? Apple's screens are in a multitude of aspect ratios, including 10:7, 2:3, 9:11, 78:85, etc. Which of those should be the standard? I vote for 9:11, it's a pretty easy number to remember.

Macbook Air, Macbook Pro -- from 13" to 16". Their primary series of laptops. They're all 16:10. I'm not talking about their mobile handhelds.

"Which should be the standard?" I already said it, 16:10.

Honestly 4:3 is still better than 16:10, but yeah, 16:10 is better than 16:9

4:3 is better than 16:10? Sure, if you're 1992 and none of your drivers support an aspect ratio other than 4:3! 🤣

What I find with these monitors is if you want max brightness, you need to power it from a wall outlet. I used USB charging from my computer and it was dim. Not this brand though so ymmv

I bought a similar model a long time ago to keep in my bag. I didn't use it til recently. Set up as a third display just to keep messaging clients and email clients, so main screens stay less cluttered.

This comment isnt for everyone, but if you are a samsung (or android) user, most modern samsung tablets can be utilized as a second screen via screen share and can act as a second monitor. So you can use your tablet to watch movies on a plane, in a hotel etc then go to work off site and have a second screen. Again, way different price points, but one less gadget in your bag.

i was viewing this deal because im looking for a cheap portable monitor for someone, both use cases exist.
